The group is composed of specialists in different medical fields and they are spearheaded by the chairman, Dr.Shafik Sachedina. They have a higher success rate in managing and helping adults experiencing neurological disorders. Dr. Sachedina has been instrumental in the running and success of Sussex Healthcare. He has dedicated his life to the restoration of hope to the old and sick members of the community.
About Dr. Shafik Sachedina
Shafik Sachedina is a dental surgeon and co-founder of Sussex Healthcare. He was born in the humble city of Dar Salaam, Tanzania and attended Guy’s Medical and Dental School. He graduated as a Dental Surgeon in 1970 and joined the practicing community in England. In 1985, Dr. Sachedina co-founded Sussex Healthcare to take care of the old and mentally disturbed individuals. Between 1992 and 1997, he was a member of the Board of Directors at Imara Limited. He also served as a director at Horsham Clinic. Currently, he is a member of the Aga Khan Project, precisely the Ismaili Community. He is responsible for the coordination of programs and development agendas in Central Asia which are driven by Aga Khan.

Dr. Shafik Sachedina has always had a soft spot for the old and sick members of the community. Sussex Healthcare gives him the opportunity to focus on this. He is able to help the mentally disturbed adults and old sick folks get the medical care and support they require to live healthily. Through Sussex Healthcare, Dr. Sachedina has helped a number of individuals and families in the UK. He also gets extension aid for his foundation from the Aga Khan Foundation.
The success of Sussex Healthcare is mainly because of Dr. Shafik Sachedina’s input. He is able to facilitate quality healthcare programs such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and reflexology. Overall, he is instrumental in both Sussex’s operation and the management of the Ismaili Community projects.
